The ANWB has called the Groningen village Winsum voted the most beautiful village in the Netherlands in 2020. Winsum is a village located between the city of Groningen and the mud flats. There is plenty to do in Winsum, where you can walk, sail, shop, cycle, visit churches or mills and much more. It has been voted the most beautiful village because of the Winsumerdiep and its harbour, the layering of building styles, real village life, the cosy centre and the 59 national and 4 municipal monuments.
