Growing up with Ot and Sien

For Janet, it's more than nostalgia. As a young girl, she sat dressed as Sien on a decorated wagon during the Rodermarkt parade. Her cousin was Ot. Together they waved to the audience, among straw bales, flowers and children's laughter. That moment, that feeling of coming together and coming home, has remained. It is in her heart. And in everything she shares with Onder de Linden today.

Ot and Sien were more than two toddlers. They represented a time when friendship was natural. Where the ordinary was special. Where children still played outside, and where neighbours had time for a chat.
