General

Onder de Linden has free Wi-Fi for its guests. To do so, select the network "Hotel Onder de Linden Guest". You can log in in different ways. Via Google, e-mail, Facebook or directly. After your visit, we would like to hear how you experienced your visit to us.

With us you can sleep, food and drink, meeting, training or throwing a fun party(s). In addition to our website, we also have a digital information folder. You can buy a gift voucher from us or order it directly from our website. This is possible from as little as €15.00.

We are open 7 days a week from 11am to midnight 00am. Our hotel has 23 attractive and comfortably renovated rooms. The kitchen is open from 12.00 to 21.00 for lunch and dinner. Furthermore, we have several halls and several entrances/toilet groups. At the back of our premises is a large private parking area with bicycle storage for our guests.

 

Yes, the entire ground floor is accessible to disabled people. The 23 hotel rooms on the first floor are accessible via a straight staircase.

Food

We provide catering on location for groups of up to 60 people. For larger groups, we can also provide catering, but then work together with partners.

Nowadays, there are more and more people with intolerances to e.g. gluten or lactose. We are prepared for this. If you let us know in advance, we will of course take this into account. 

 

At our gastrobar, we serve chips with mayonnaise and a fresh salad with the main course as standard. As an extra, we offer the option of ordering jacket potatoes, hot daily vegetables or our delicious homemade rhubarb on the side for a small extra charge.

Reservations are required, which can be made online and by phone. Of course, you can always walk in and we will see if there is room.

Group activities
The minimum group size for group activities is 12 people. Of course, we will also find a suitable alternative at 10 persons.
Our group activities start from €15.00 per person. We see it as a challenge to create a fun group activity for any budget.

Our gastrobar and function rooms are accessible for the disabled. We are also close to the Mensinge forest and Roden town centre. We definitely see opportunities for group activities where people with mobility problems can also participate.

Group activities at Onder de Linden are just right for a bachelor party. We are also a wedding venue and we think it is super cool if you celebrate your bachelor party here as well. We have a large atmospheric bar in our eatery and halls, so you can have a great party with your friends and/or girlfriends.

It is certainly possible to combine a group activity such as a company outing or family outing with a nice lunch or delicious drinks. We offer various packages for our fun group activities but are also happy to think along with you. Visit contact with us for the possibilities.

With 23 renovated hotel rooms, there is the possibility of combining your group activity with an overnight stay. We offer various overnight packages in combination with group activities. See here the possibilities or take contact with us.

Rent space

Our venue is a great base for meetings, training courses, presentations or seminars, due to its central location between Assen, Drachten and Groningen (A7 / A28). We have a large private car park behind the building. Whether for small or larger groups, we have a quiet and atmospheric room for any number from 10 to 100 people.

 

In all our halls a (fixed) beamer, projection screen and large digiboard are available. We also have sound equipment, such as music computers, microphones and headsets. And, of course, flipcharts and writing utensils are available.

Under the Linden is the ideal place for (multi-day) arrangements. Cosy and atmospheric place where you can work, meet, party or sleep flexibly! And that under the smoke of Groningen on the lively Brink in Roden with the Mensinge forest a stone's throw away. Ask about the possibilities or request a quote online.  

The possibilities for a party at Onder de Linden Roden are endless. From children's parties to complete wedding or disco party. We have several rooms ranging from 25-30 people to up to 150 people during corona measures. It is important to us that you get the party that suits your needs and your budget. You can have the party partly or fully catered by us. (incl. buffet or dinner). We will gladly talk to you personally to make it a great and atmospheric party together. We serve both cold and hot buffets. Here you can think of bread tables and complete cold and hot buffets. We have worked out some popular buffets for you. Of course, it is always possible to create a customised buffet together. Feel free to inquire about the possibilities.  
Farewell Taking of a loved one or loved one is an emotional day. We have several halls which means we are equipped for both small and large groups. We can organise both a condolence and a funeral service. Together with the family and/or funeral director, we discuss the wishes so that this emotional day is arranged as relaxed and convivial as possible. Whether it is a farewell, a coffee table, drinks with snacks or a combination, it is all possible.  

We are happy to help you think about the possibilities when it comes to renting a room. Whether you are looking for a meeting location for your company or want to hire a room for a big birthday party. A lot is possible at Onder de Linden. Even a tailor-made proposal. Our room prices do not include breakfast. You can book this extra via our booking module or specify it at check-in.

Breakfast times are:
Monday to Friday 07.00 - 10.00. Saturday and Sunday from 08.30 to 10.30. This can be deviated from by agreement. 

Check in
Check-in daily from 16:00 to 21:00. By arrangement, it is possible to check in earlier or later.

Check out
Check-out daily until 11am.
A late check out is possible. We may charge a small supplement for this.

There is no hairdryer in the room. Need a hairdryer? It can be reserved at reception.

At the back of our premises, we have a large 10 x 4 metre bike shed with several battery charging points. This shed is locked at night and the charging points operate on a timer.

We have enough space to park motorbikes safely and out of sight. Motorbikes also fit in the bike shed, which is accessible via a wide sliding door with lock.

Cancellation or rebooking is free of charge, provided we are informed in good time (at least 2 days in advance). For larger groups, our general terms and conditions apply. In the event of a no-show, you are obliged to pay the reservation value for accommodation in all cases. All our services are subject to our terms and conditions in force. These can be found on our website at the bottom of each page.

Our kitchen is open daily from noon to 9pm. The menu can be viewed in advance on our website. It can be found under food and drink.

You can get a city bike from us, electric bike or mountain bike hire. You can do this easily online on our site. If you book in advance, we will ensure that the bike(s) is/are available on site.  
As standard, we have six E-choppers available for hire. For this, we cooperate with Echopperental.co.uk. The E-choppers are online can be booked for three hours. Need more E-choppers for a company outing? Ask about the possibilities.

Pets are not allowed. In exceptional cases, consultations can be made with reception.
