RODEN - From 5 November, Hotel Onder de Linden is using a new (winter) menu. With deliciously warming dishes for cold days and sweet & tasty dishes to end the day. Of course, everything is prepared fresh on a daily basis and we are confident that our guests will enjoy it (not literally, of course ;-)). It's eat & enjoy at Onder de Linden.

At Hotel Onder de Linden, we do everything we can to make your stay a success while at the same time trying to minimise our impact on nature and the environment. We achieve a great effect with small measures, without compromising your comfort.

Onder de Linden is affiliated to Arthuur Routes. Arthuur Routes are cycling and walking routes that tell the story of the region you are cycling or walking through. With Arthuur cycle routes you discover interesting locations.

Today, guests increasingly value the fact that they want to know who the faces behind the company - or accommodation in our case - are. Therefore, from now on, you will find our fascinating story on the Hotel Onder de Linden website. Who we are, what we stand for and where we and our team are working towards. And what do those peacock feathers mean that you see all over the hotel?

From Friday 1 April (and we really don't joke about this ;-)), Hotel Onder de Linden is using a new menu. From this date, guests can choose from a variety of (new) snacks and meals. Of course, everything is prepared fresh every day and we dare (not literally, of course ;-)) to put our hand in the fire that our guests will - atmospherically - enjoy. Familiar, surprising and versatile.

Drenthe is a beautiful province and has everything to offer. From the three (!) National Parks to beautiful museum villages. Drenthe is the province to explore by bike. You cycle through nature reserves, cosy villages and discover historical sites. But all this is hard to do in one day. Make a weekend of it and combine the cycling trip with an overnight stay in our hotel in Drenthe.

This year, we have been approached again and by the RTL4 programme "Onderweg naar de Regio". After an extensive intake, the time has come on 7 September. Erik Burgers travelled to beautiful Roden together with his cameraman. A day etched in our memory.

Since 2017, we have been hard at work rebuilding the hotel and restaurant. In 2020, we started renovating the hotel rooms.

The Colonies of Weldadigheid have finally been added to the World Heritage List after a long wait. But what exactly are the Colonies of Weldadigheid? And what can still be seen of them today?

For almost four years we, Anton and Janet, have been the operators of Hotel Onder de Linden in Roden. We are proud of what we have already achieved and what we still want to achieve. That's what this news item is about.
