Green Key is a well-known international hallmark for sustainable businesses in the hotel and leisure industry. You can see from this quality mark that we do everything we can to minimise the pressure of our business on nature and the environment. In doing so, we go just a step further than normal laws and regulations require.
The certificate has three levels: bronze, silver and gold. The more environmental measures a hotel has implemented, the higher the 'eco-friendly' level. We can report that we are currently working hard to achieve the Green Key. We will of course keep you informed.
In practice
An important part of the Green Key certificate is that you, as our guest, are not inconvenienced by the sustainable actions we undertake. And no, you are not expected to constantly take nature and the environment into account during your holiday. On the contrary: you will probably enjoy your holiday even more with the idea in the back of your mind that you are acting in an environmentally friendly way. At Hotel Onder de Linden, we have found a solid balance between sustainable business and comfort.
For example, we work a lot with local entrepreneurs, which means that our menu features many products from the region. This is not only socially responsible, but also squeaky fresh and delicious! But there is more: from environmentally friendly hand soaps and shampoos to energy-efficient appliances. And from atmospheric LED lighting to charging points for electric bikes. And what about your comfort? We use water sparingly, but in such a way that you can still enjoy a nice, hot shower after a long day. All this not only promotes your feeling of comfort, but also the status of nature and the environment.
